Last week, Scott Raney, District 5870’s “Polio Sheriff” got us wound up to do our own Pints for Polio event in October.  Ending active polio is so very close! Less than 40 cases in Afghanistan & Pakistan are currently diagnosed. Like most goals, all it takes is Time & Money!

We can send our money, and the courageous folks in the mid-East who take those little ice chests full of polio vaccine into isolated, hard-to-get to villages will find the time.

The District Polio Fund goal for this year is $105,750, or just $58.70 per member.  Many of us signed up last week to pledge $100 for the Polio Plus Society!  Let’s blow the suds off that measly $58.70 per capita number!

Limited Time Paul Harris Campaign - Update 6
Dear Michal,

We've now reached the halfway point of this year's Fall match campaign.  During its first 42 days, 122 Rotarians representing 28 clubs have pledged a total of $96,482!

Significantly, 78 of these 122 contributors have either become a first-time Paul Harris Fellow or reached a new Paul Harris Fellow level by virtue of their contribution and its match.  Congratulations!

If you're one of the 122 who has already contributed, thank you so very much for your generous contribution.  If you haven't contributed yet, please consider doing so. It's your annual contribution to this fund that ensures District 5870 has the wherewithal to provide community DAP Grants, career and technology scholarships, district service projects and international humanitarian grants.  None of this would be possible without your support.
